Louise Ledford

Swannanoa - Louise Brackett Ledford, 75, of 203 Hawthorne Ave. died Monday January 23, 2006 in the Lexington Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of The Chapel. She was a daughter of the late Albert Lee and Sadie Cannon Brackett. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Gamble, and a daughter, Ann Jones. Surviving are her daughters: Elaine Gass and Debra Gamble King, both of Lexington, Jerry Gamble of Swannanoa, and Becky Jones White of Candler; two sons: Randy Gamble of Fairview and Chuck Jones of Atlanta, GA; sister, Clara Parker of Homer, GA; brother, Harold Brackett of Asheville; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert E. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
