Lucille Orren Bowers

Lucille Orren Bowers, 74, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Universal Health Care. A native of Iredell County, she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of Katherine Victoria Sharpe Melton of Fletcher, and the late Mason Eugene Orren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Carl Bowers, Jr; grandson, Robert Joseph Bowers; and 2 sisters. Surviving in addition to her mother are her daughters: Sharon Buckner of Arden, and Sue Surrett and husband Bobby of Leicester, and their father, Carl Bowers of Asheville; sister, Judy Souther of Fletcher; brother, Eugene Orren of Mills River; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 6 nieces and a nephew. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
