Mabel Wilson Williams

Asheville - Mabel Ann Wilson Williams, 74, of 380 Brevard Road, Passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Aston Park Health Care Center. A native of Yancey County, Ms. Williams had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was formerly employed with Vanderbilt Shirt Company as a seamstress. Ms. Williams was the daughter of the late Ernie Melvin Wilson and Edith Julia McKinney Wilson, and was also preceded in death by a brother, James Landon Jim Byrd. Surviving are her daughters: Marrissa McAbee Deifendeifer of Alexander and Terrissa McAbee of Asheville; grandson, Cheston Wade Deifendeifer of Leicester; brother, Kenneth Larry Wilson and wife Joyce of Weaverville; and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Ms. Williams family.
