Mable Harwood

Mable Buckner Harwood, 94, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. Mable was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Belle Slagle Buckner and wife of the late William Harwood. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Miller and her brothers, Arnold and Samuel Buckner. She was a former member of Newbridge Baptist Church and Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mable is survived by her, daughters, Helen Allison and husband, Bud, Linda Bledsoe and husband, Ron and Elizabeth Harwood; granddaughter, Deborah Allison Henderson, grandson, Richard Allison, great granddaughter, Carlye Kincaid and husband, Jordan, great grandson, Corey B. Allison and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
