Mamie E. Owenby

ASHEVILLE Mamie Evelyn Lyda Owenby, 87, of 91 Victoria Road passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at Grace Healthcare of Asheville. Mrs. Owenby was a native of Asheville and a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Arville Henry and Annie Mae Crook Lyda. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude William Jones and her second husband, Robert Owenby and three sons, Franklin Thomas Jones, Carroll Eugene Jones and William Joseph Jones. Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the family.
