Margaret Harriet Buckner Jones

Asheville - Margaret Harriet Buckner Jones, 80, of 144 Macedonia Rd. died Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A life long resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Augusta and Gertrude Embler Buckner and was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Kitty Lee Clark Buckner. Surviving are her husband, Walter Wallen Jones of the home; son, Tommy Walter Jones and wife Lou Ellen of Candler; daughter, Marian Louise Whiteside and husband Jim of Asheville; grandchildren, Greg Jones and wife Michelle of Marshall and Kimberly Jones of Raleigh; great grandson, Cory Jones; sister, Lorene Wilson of Asheville; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
