Margaret Young

Asheville - Margaret Lois Troutman Young, 88, died Wednesday June 1, 2011 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Harmony, NC, she had lived in Asheville most of her life. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Nadie Troutman. Surviving are her husband Samuel Robert Young, Jr. of Asheville; daughters, Katherine Y. Mangum (Harley S.) of Fletcher and Martha Y. Cupp (Ronald) of Charlotte; sons, Samuel Robert Young III and Edward B. Young of Asheville; granddaughter, Kerry Bates (Jason) and grandson, Jacob Samuel Mangum. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with burial following.
