Marian Alice Copen Calhoun, born on October 10, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Asheville, North Carolina. Marian was a shining light in the lives of many, known for her unwavering faith and dedication as a longtime non-denominational, full gospel minister. Her commitment to sharing the gospel enriched her own life and the lives of those around her, as she opened her home and heart to her community in service to The Lord Jesus Christ.

A devoted family leader, Marian cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a profound love for her family, which was evident in every aspect of her life. Marian leaves behind her beloved children: Robin Denise Miller, Charles Furman Calhoun, Jr. and his wife Sharon, Autumn Lynn Calhoun, and Michele Renee Calhoun Greene and her husband William Ray Greene, Jr. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Michael Miller, Amy Miller, Matthew Miller, Jessica Adams, Charles Calhoun, Zachary Calhoun, Autumn Melissa Woodley-Curz, Audrey Michelle Woodley-Curz, Anna Marie Woodley, Anthony Woodley, Alaynee Gonzalez, Aydanni Gonzalez, Elizabeth Calhoun, Hillary Calhoun, Daniel Eugene Calhoun, Jr., Dillon Calhoun, Dakota Calhoun, Corey Greene, Aaron Greene, and Ryan Greene.

Marian was also blessed with 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought boundless joy to her life. She is survived by her sister, Marcella Copen, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will remember her fondly.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Monte Abner Copen, Sr. and Opal Brown Copen; her son, Daniel Eugene Calhoun; and her brothers, Monte Abner Copen, Jr. and Michael Copen.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.

Marian's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Carepartners Solace Center for there exceptional care given to Marian and her family.

As we remember Marian Alice Copen Calhoun, let us celebrate her incredible life of service, her steadfast faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but will forever be held in the hearts of her family and friends.
