Marie Lamb Mulley

Hazel Marie Lamb Mulley, known to family and friends as Marie, age 74, of Candler, passed away on January 6, 2026, at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center. She was born on April 23, 1951, and was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County.

Marie was the daughter of the late James Nathan Lamb and Edith Beatrice Alexander Lamb. She was preceded in death by her son, Brent King; her nephew, Mickey Minyard; and her sisters, Janice Vanover and Teresa Miller.

Marie loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Pole Creek Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She retired from B & B Pharmacy, where she worked for many years as a pharmacy technician and was known for her dedication, kindness, and care for others. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her grandchildren were her whole life.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Mulley (Yerlene); her grandchildren Zak, Levi, Paul, Jacob, Laney, Ashlynn, Hayley, and Memphis; her brother, Eddie Lamb (Angie); her sister, Shirlean Ledbetter; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Miller; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Marie will be remembered for her faith, her love for her family, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. A private burial will follow at Hice Hill Cemetery.
