Marie W. Christiansen

Fairview - Marie W. Christiansen, 94, died Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Fleshers Fairview Family Health Care Center. A native of Luxembourg, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1989. Mrs. Christiansen was the daughter of the late Joe and Catherine Wilmes and was the wife of the late Edward Christiansen. She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Christiansen. Surviving are her daughters, Ruth Johnson of Morton Grove, IL and Shirley Peterson of Tucson, AZ; sons, Edward Christiansen of Hickory and Robert Christiansen of Wheaton, IL; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Timothy Fary officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be in Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL on Saturday.
