Mario Carlos Nennis, born on April 26, 1972, in Micronesia, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Asheville. His journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication to his family and a steadfast work ethic that touched all those around him.
Mario was a man who valued the bonds of family above everything else. He devoted himself fully to his beloved wife, Senolynn Kapier, cherishing every day they shared together. His commitment to his children—Senvick Nennis, Shemira Nennis, Mavrick Augustine, Marla Nennis, and Marnes Nennis—was evident in every action he took and every word he spoke. He also welcomed and supported his step-children: Jeniva Jack, Stevick Mark, and Sonia Donre, embracing them as part of his extended family and ensuring that his home was always filled with warmth and love.
Mario’s influence and legacy extend to his step-grandchildren: Shaneka Donre, Shona Donre, and Shaina Luzama, who will grow up surrounded by stories of his kindness, strength, and commitment to the ones he loved. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Agnis Nennis and Anida Nennis, whose lives were enriched by his steadfast support and companionship.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Salome Nennis, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Mario’s greatest pride and joy were his family members, who carry forward his spirit of resilience and compassion. His life stands as a testament to the enduring power of dedication, and those who knew him will remember him for his hard work and the care he extended to those he loved.
A service to celebrate Mario's life will be announced.
