Mark Hollis

Asheville - George Mark Hollis, 58, of 37 Sneaking Creek Lane, died unexpectedly Friday April 6, 2007 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, he retired in 1989 as a Sgt. with the Dunedin, FL Police Dept. He lived in Franklin, NC for 15 years prior to moving to Asheville 5 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a son of the late George and Cleone Hollis. Surviving are his wife, Kelley Hollis of the home; sons, Josh Hollis and wife Sandra and Chad Hollis and wife Heather all of Dunedin, FL, sister, Nancy Whittle of Columbia, SC; brother, Jeff Hollis and wife Kathy of Seminole, FL; granddaughter, Josephine Hollis; grandson, Jacob Hollis; nieces, Courtney and Kerry and nephew, Justin. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Chuprevich officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
