Marlene Harbin

Asheville - Marlene Masterson Harbin, 81, of Asheville, formerly of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Mission Hospitals. Ms. Harbin was born in Soddy Daisy, TN, and was a member of one of the pioneer families of Soddy Daisy. She was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School and a member of Dividing Ridge Church of God. Ms. Harbin was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Buck and Altie Mae Masterson; one sister, and several brothers. Surviving are her two sons: Phillip Harbin and Michael Harbin; granddaughter, Amanda Norton; great-grandson, Dalton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vincent Keith officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.
