Martha King Cole

Martha King Cole, 80, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was a daughter of the late Homer B. King and Edith Nix King. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Pauline Chapman, Doris Fowler, and Peggy Murray; brothers: HB King, Herb King, and Jerry King. Mrs. Cole was a 1955 graduate of Sand Hill High School. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Mack Cole; daughter, Kellye Bradshaw and husband Alan of Biltmore Park; grandchildren: William and Edie Bradshaw; sister, Becky Sharpe and husband David of Leicester; brother, Larry King and wife Gail of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 308 Gashes Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
