Marty Carol Dennie

Marty Carol Dennie, a cherished member of her family, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina. She was born on May 16, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, to Clarence Everett Dennie and Willie Mae Ramsey Dennie, both of whom have preceded her in death.

Marty dedicated much of her life to her career as a beautician, where she not only showcased her professional skills but also her creativity and passion for nurturing others' beauty. Beyond her professional life, Marty was a woman of many talents; she enjoyed painting and crocheting, often sharing her artistic creations and gifts with her family. Her devotion to her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness was a significant aspect of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the North Asheville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Marty proudly served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps, demonstrating her commitment and service to her country. She embodied strength and resilience, qualities that were evident in her interactions with those around her.

She leaves behind her loving children, Jade Avery, Lyra Dennie, and Rick Willard, who will remember her nurturing spirit and the warmth of her love. Marty's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Briana, Miaya, Trae, Selia, Tarah, Colin, and Gavin, along with her great-grandchildren: London, Liam, Madily, and Lennon, and another great-grandchild on the way.

Marty is also survived by her siblings: Terry Huffer, Lana Anderson, Wanda Dennie, Debbie Dennie, David Dennie, and Joe Dennie. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were touched by her kindness and artistry.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Butch Dennie.

Though Marty has departed from this world, her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, and loving legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
