Marvin L. Hardin

Marvin London Hardin, 87, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, he resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the son of the late Luther Allen Hardin and Georgiana Green Hardin. He is also preceded in death by 8 siblings. Mr. Hardin was a member of Emmas Grove Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Industries after 20 years of service. Surviving are his wife Jane Harrison Hardin; children: Evelyn Long and husband Hoyle of Forest City, Brenda Neal and husband Vic of Spindale, and Marvin Spencer Hardin of Spindale; granddaughter, Donna Sprouse and husband David; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Gene King officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church.
