Mary "Jean" Mcintosh

Candler - Mary Jean Wise McIntosh, 67, of 28 Spencer Road died Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. She was a native of Buncombe County where she had lived most of her life. She was a former member and past secretary of the Aston Park Towers Floral Club and a member of CHAT, Community Health Advocate Training. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Valton Wise and Martha Redmond Wise Mauck. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Moore. Surviving are her sons, Michael Moore and wife, Brenda of Swannanoa and Larry Moore of Crescent City, CA; daughter, Wanda Tesner of Asheville; companion, Fred McBride of the home; brother, Waldon Wise of Columbia, SC; half sister, Glenda Gail Green of Andrews, NC; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Averys Creek Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. David Gosnell and Bobby Fox officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
