Mary Louise Carland

Mary Louise Carland, 80, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Park Ridge Hospital. Mrs. Carland was a daughter of the late John Eugene Parris and Nora Lee Tweed Parris. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Elizabeth Roberts; and brother, Frank Parris. Mrs. Carland was a loving mother, and devoted wife. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Bill Evart Carland; daughter, Brenda Carland Tomberlin and her husband John of Asheville; grandsons: Brian, Travis, and Dylan; sister, Martha Bradley and her husband Larry of Asheville; niece, Brooke Cordell, and nephews: Josh and Mitchell Cordell. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 1:15 PM prior to services on Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
