Michael Eugene Mccurry

Archdale, NC Michael Eugene McCurry, 59, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at High Point Regional Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. McCurry was a 1968 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School, and was employed with Lankford Security Services in Archdale. Mr. McCurry was preceded in death by his father, Herbert McCurry, Jr.; mother, Peggy Barnes; and a brother, Herbert McCurry, III. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sherra Payne; grandchildren: Steven, Stephanie, and Chad; brothers: Thomas McCurry (Diane) and David McCurry; sisters: Susan Taylor (Fred) and Barbara Doster (Allen); as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 12 PM Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Patricia A. Bacon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
