Mildred R. Shiflet

Winter Garden, FL Mildred Roberts Shiflet, 81, formerly of Asheville entered eternal life Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Winter Garden, Florida. Mrs. Shiflet was a native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County and had resided in Winter Garden since 2001. She was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church and the daughter of the late Melvin Tom and Martha Jane Lamb Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cary A. Shiflet who died in 1968 and her daughter Teresa Shiflet Cicek. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Vivian Roberts of Winter Garden; nieces, Linda Head of Asheville, Debbie Gibbs of Greenville, SC, Beverly Brooks of Ft. Myers, FL and Brenda McGraw of Boiling Springs, SC; nephews, Gary Roberts of Morganton and Brian Roberts of Chulouta, FL. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
