Nancy Brown Ayers

Nancy Brown Ayers, age 91, of Leicester, passed away peacefully at her home on April 6, 2026.

Born in Asheville on April 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Royal Brown and Hazel Ruth Spivey Brown.

Mrs. Ayers was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent over 20 years employed with Taylor Instruments in Asheville. She took pride in her work and in providing for her family. Above all else, Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured time spent with her family and will be remembered for her quiet strength, devotion, and the love she shared with those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Clyde Early Ayers, as well as her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Darryl Ayers and wife Rhonda; her grandchildren, Austin Ayers and wife Savannah, and Justin Ayers and wife Katiana; and her great-grandchildren, Harrison Jay Ayers and Elliana Faye Ayers. She is also remembered fondly by extended family and friends.

Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Green Hills Cemetery.

Nancy’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
