Nancy Rice Bryan

Nancy Rice Bryan, 75, of Mars Hill, and formerly of Tanglewood Drive, West Asheville, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2014 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was the daughter of the late Ferrell Edward and Carrie Mae Ruble Hall. Nancy was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army. She retired from the Asheville Citizen-Times as the Director of Human Resources in 1993 after 41 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lewis Fowler Bryan; and by her son, Steve Rice of West Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Salvation Army of Asheville with Captain Brett Cundiff officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
