Nellie Robinson Ayers

Fairview - Nellie Blanch Robinson Ayers, 73, formerly of 9 Gifton Lane died Friday June 27, 2008 at the Brian Center. A native of McDowell County, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County and had retired from Bussman Mfg. She was a daughter of the late Amos and Addie Simmons Robinson and the wife of the late Bobby Gifton Ayers. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are her sons, Tony Ayers and wife Anne of Greenville, SC and Larry Ayers and wife Tracey of Mills River; daughter, Angela Carter and husband Jeff of Fairview; sister, Essie Barrier of Drexel and 6 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Bethany UMC Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
