Norman Jr. Mcgee

Asheville - Norman Potter McGee, Jr., 82, passed away Friday December 25, 2009. A native and lifelong resident of Asheville, he was a member and former Deacon of Newbridge Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was the son of the late Norman Potter and Alma Pritchard McGee. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean Merrill McGee of the home; daughter, Nancy Carole McGee of the home; sisters, Gladelle Eller of Old Fort and Leartis Bradley of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
