Ophard Chandler

Asheville Ophard Chandler, 71, of 20 Impala Trail passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at the St. Joseph Campus. A native of Madison County. He was Manager for Direct Oil Company for 25 years and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Chandler was a son of the late Blake and Viola Chandler. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Williams and sister, Cynthia Bowlens. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Warren Chandler of the home; son, Robert A. Williams & daughter-in-law, Sarah Williams of Asheville and brother, Paul Chandler of Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday prior to services.
