Paul Frank Gray Iii

Thurmond - Paul Frank Gray, III, 65, of 1300 Old Highway 21, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County, he had resided in Fletcher for 30 years before moving to Thurmond. He was a retired truck driver, employed with Atlanta Motor Lines for 20 years. He was a member of Arden First Baptist Church. Paul was the son of Jane Gray Robinson and the late Paul Frank Gray, Jr. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Curtis Lee Baldwin, and a brother, Billy Gray. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 47 years, Alice Louise Shelton Gray, of the home; son, Gary Dean Gray and wife Tycee of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Cheryl Baldwin of Thurmond; brother, Robert Gray and wife Dotsie of Huntersville, NC; sister, Joyce Buckner and husband Larry of Weaverville; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Conard officiating. Burial will follow at Lewis Memorial Park, with the Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
