Paul Holcombe

FAIRVIEW - Paul Edward Holcombe, 74, of Garren Creek Road, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Pardee Hospital. A native of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Holcombe had resided in Buncombe County since 2002. He was the owner Medical Equipment Service Company of Houston, TX, and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a US Navy veteran. Mr. Holcombe was the son of the late Louie Brown and Rachel Beam Holcomb. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Allgood; and brothers: Louis Allen Holcomb and Ray Lindsey Holcomb. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Cecile Earley Holcombe of the home; daughter, Paula Holcombe of Vancouver, BC; and four nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 428, Fairview, NC 28730 or to the charity of one's choice.
