June 21, 1945 — March 16, 2009
Asheville - Peggy Tilda Raby Rice, 63, passed away Monday - March 16, 2009. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Inez Taylor Raby. Surviving are her husband, Steve Lamar Rice, Sr; sons Mark and Jeff Meadows; step son, Steve Rice, Jr; step daughter, Michelle Shifflett; 4 brothers; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Pastor Stan Welch officiating.
