Pender Williams Jr.

Asheville - Pender Williams, Jr., 50, of 245 Cedar Hill Road, died Sunday May 4, 2003 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a son of Pender Williams, Sr. and Evelyn Grooms Williams of Asheville. Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Patricia Weiss and husband, Dr. Richard Weiss of Monterey, CA; brothers, Robert Dean Williams, Gary Ronald Williams and wife, Barbara, David James Williams and Jimmy Joe Williams and wife, Angie all of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain.
