Phil Arrington

Mars Hill Phil Ed Arrington, 73, of Old Murray Road, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012. A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Arrington retired from the Biltmore Forest Country Club as a Greenskeeper. He was the son of the late Tom and Ruth Barnes Arrington, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lola Dotson. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Burrell Arrington; sons: Phillip Arrington and wife Darlene and Marlon Arrington; daughters: Linda Penland and husband Watson and Melissa Bowes and husband Byron; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Georgie Boles. Gravesides services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Shelton Cemetery in the Laurel Community of Madison County. The Rev. Cliff Franks will officiate. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Arrington Family.
