Phillip William "Phil" Coulby

Candler - Phillip William Phil Coulby, 33, of 11 Corey Lane died Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Phil was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, attended Clyde A. Erwin High School and was a Rock Mason. He was preceded in death by his Aunt, Jackie Sams. Surviving are his mother, Gladys Sams Foster and husband, James D. Foster of Candler; father, William Bill Edward Coulby, Jr. and wife, Jackie Coulby of Arden; son, William Morphy of Bakersville; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Pinner of Asheville; paternal grandfather, William Edward Ed Coulby of Arden; uncles, Carroll Sams and wife, Carolyn, Randy Pinner and wife, Debbie and Lee Coulby; aunts, Doris Stultz and husband, James and Peggy Hayes and husband, Charlie; brothers, Shane Billingsley and wife,Dawn of Fletcher, Heath Billingsley and wife, Becky of Weaverville. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Little officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence.
