Raymond Handy

Candler - Raymond Alfred Handy, 64, passed away Friday September 24, 2010 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Milford, Mass. he had lived in Buncombe County for the last 15 years. Raymond had retired from the US Army and was of the Catholic faith. Raymond was a son of the late Raymond Bradford and Theresa Paille Handy. Surviving are his wife, Joan Handy, of the home; son, Michael Handy, step-daughter, Melanie Barnes, sisters, Sheri Cianca and Cathy Koback. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Pastor Clark E. Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
