Rebecca Ann Hipps

Rebecca Ann Hipps, 50, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James William Hipps and Thelma Maxine Hipps. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Allen Hipps. Surviving are her brothers: James Alvin Hipps and wife Donna of Asheville, David William Hipps and wife Katrinka of Candler, and Christopher Dwight Hipps and wife Nancy of Asheville; nieces and nephews: James Alvin Hipps, Jr., James Christopher Hipps, Crystal Singleton, Joseph Hipps, Sheena Gosnell, Amberli Russell, and David Hipps; and 14 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, September 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
