Rev. Arthur Ross Stanley

Asheville - Rev. Arthur Ross Stanley, 76, of 45 Mt. Carmel Drive, died Tuesday July 30, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Jackson County, he was a retired Church Of God minister and had pastored at several churches in WNC and Florida. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a son of the late William H. and Lena M. Stanley. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Stanley of the home; daughter, Angela Kuffel of Melbourne, Fl.; sisters, Ethel Smith, Mary Swayngim and Annie Jo Smith all of Asheville; brothers, Bill Stanley and A.B. Stanley both of Asheville and granddaughters, Ashley, Stephanie and Tiffany. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Aaron Phillips, Herman Toney and Carl Winstead officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
