Richard Clayton Pressley

Richard Clayton Pressley, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the CarePartners Solace Center.

  A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Julius McCree Pressley and Mary Malinda Clark Pressley.

  Richard was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for Gerber for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a loving father, who was a hero to his daughter.

  Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Tanya Pressley Hurst and husband Frederick; and granddaughter, Talem “Angel” Duke.

  A private burial will be held at Bent Creek Cemetery on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
