Richard Shane Holt

Weaverville – Richard Shane Holt, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Jackie Dale Holt and Dorothy Faye Craig Holt. Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Jennifer Lynn Holt; sons: Richard Shane Holt, Jr, and Jackson Troy Holt of the home; brother, Tim Holt and wife Mechelle of Arden; nieces: Courtney Holt, and Chealsea Holt; mother-in-law, Lynn Matheson of Hendersonville; father-in-law, Craig Williamson of Pineville; and many extended family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at a later date.
