Robbie Davis Worley Creson

Alexander – Robbie Davis Worley Creson, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her residence. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late James Moody Davis and Allie Meadows Davis. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Rom Worley; 2nd husband, James Penland; 3rd husband, Rev. William “Bill” Creson; step-son, Eric Creson; sisters: Nell Shelton, Elva Mae Henderson, Jessie Ball, and Virginia Roberts; and brothers: Cleophas Davis, Bobby Davis, and James Davis. Mrs. Creson was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church since 1967. She and her 2nd husband, James Penland, owned and operated a laundromat and dry cleaner business in Marshall for many years. Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Barnett and companion Tom Boyle of Maryville, TN; son, David Worley of Alexander; sister, Betty Jean Rice of Alexander; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the family.
