Robert Leroy Goettge

Leicester - Robert L. Goettge, 53, of 152 Green Acre Dr. passed away Sunday, August 17, 2003 after a brief illness. A native of New Philadelphia, Ohio, he had lived in Buncombe County for the past 30 years and had been employed by Hubbell Mid Atlantic Distribution CO. for the past 5 years. He was a son of the late Donald F. and Helen Bear Goettge. Surviving are his wife, Cathy Goettge of the home; Daughter, Patricia Lee of Asheville; Son, Robbie Goettge of Marshall; Step Daughter, Krissy Biddix of Asheville; Step Son, Michael Harris of Asheville; Mother-In-Law, Mazel Shook; Brother-In-Law, John Shook and 10 Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
