Robert Marvin Stetson Sr.

Robert Marvin Stetson Sr., 83, of Arden, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born on February 1, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late William Norton Stetson and Favorite Florence Stetson. Throughout his life, Robert was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to always doing what he believed was right.

Robert devoted much of his working life to the Department of Defense as a civilian contractor, a career he continued until his retirement. Away from work, he enjoyed playing tennis and traveling the world, experiences that brought him many cherished memories over the years.

Above all else, Robert treasured his family. The time he shared with those he loved was especially important to him, and his devotion to his family remained at the heart of his life.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Kathleen Stetson; his children, Robert Stetson Jr., Ann Schruckmayr, and Elizabeth Jeanne Stetson; his grandchildren, Robert Cole Stetson, Zoe Elizabeth Schruckmayr, and Michael Joseph Schruckmayr; as well as Sheilah R. Stetson and Christopher J. Schruckmayr.

The family will hold services at a later date.
