Rodney "Papaw" Edward Hendrix

Rodney "Papaw" Edward Hendrix, 64, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Asheville, he was a son of Betty Jean Wallen Hendrix of Asheville and the late John Edward Hendrix. Rodney enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Jacki Robertson Hendrix; son, Allen Wallin of Anderson, SC; daughter, Becki Lee and husband Tripp of Asheville; grandchildren: Brianna Lee, Said Lee, Hayden Wallin, Lilli Lee, Courtney Wallin, and Maddix Lee; brothers: Walter, Eddie, and Sammy; and several cousins.
