Ronald Ray Slider

Asheville - Ronald Ray Slider, 60, passed away Friday February 6, 2009 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Stroup Slider; son, Russell Slider of Asheville and his fiancee Tammy Walls; grandson, Trevor Slider and sister, Linda Pressley and her husband Wayne of Hendersonville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Lanning Pittillo Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
