Rosa Lee Ledford

Fairview – Rosa Lee Rathbone Ledford, 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 21, 2024, at The Greens at Spruce Pine.

  A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late George Dewey Rathbone and Bessie Mae McKinney Rathbone. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Buckner; second husband, Alvin Ledford; siblings: Emory Rathbone and wife Lib, Orlie Rathbone and wife Maxine, Wilkie Rathbone and wife Juanita, Gladys Jones and husband Prince, and Georgie Riddle and husband Bill; and brothers-in-law: Bo Freeman, and Dallas Gardner.

  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Angela Goldsmith (Mike); son, Robert Buckner; grandchildren: Stephanie Labb, and John Goldsmith (Stephanie Crist); grandchildren: Alexis Labb, Jax Labb, Ethan Crist, and Cara Crist; sisters: June Frye (Phillip), Brenda Freeman, and Trula Gardner; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

  Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 23, 2024, at Green Hills Cemetery.
