Rosa P. Taylor

Candler Rosa Farel Parton Taylor, 78, of 787 N. Luther Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 29, 2014 at her home. A native of Haywood County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1956. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Winter Seal Company and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late General Dewey Parton and Easter Rathbone Parton. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Taylor; sisters, Annie Mae Ledford and Mary Lou Curry and brothers, James Parton and Joe Parton. Surviving are her husband whom she married June 25, 1956, Frank Eldridge Taylor of the home; daughter, Freda Taylor Wells and husband David of Candler; sons, Bryan Douglas Taylor and wife Diane of Knightdale and Calvin Wayne Taylor and wife LaTisha of Candler; grandchildren, Brianne Winters, Courtney Taylor and Mitchell Taylor; great grandson, Taylor Winters; sisters, Hazel Medford of Waynesville and Mollie Price of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
