Roy Robinson

Asheville - Roy Lee Robinson, 82, of 10 Wilson Watts Drive passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He worked in Law Enformcement for Madison County and Grove Park Inn and was a member of Vineyard Fellowhip Community Church. Mr. Robinson was a son of the late Joseph Perry and Zella Norton Robinson. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Elezene Shook Robinson; children, Trish Watts (Jerry), Darlene Jones (Robert), Phil Robinson and April Puglisi (Paul); grandchildren, Tim Hightower, Stephanie Ward and Nick Robinson; great grandchildren, Brittany Hightower, Jennifer Ward and Cody Ward; several nieces and nephews; brothers, Perry Robinson and J.P. Robinson; sister, Grace Ponder and several close friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
