Ruby Jean Foster

Woodfin – Ruby Jean Rumbough Foster, 64, of 22 Laurel Terrace, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2023, at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 2021 from Woodland Hills Ingles where she served in the Floral Department.

She was a daughter of the late Billy Howard Rumbough, Sr. and Allie Avelene Robinson Rumbough. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sara Jane Moore.

Surviving are her son, CharLee Rumbough of the home; sisters, Rennie Peek (Dean) of Woodfin and Christine Wright (Cecil) of Mars Hill; brothers, Frank Rumbough and Billy Rumbough, Jr. both of Woodfin; aunt, Betty Jean Dobbins (Bobby) of Woodfin, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 4, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Darrell Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home, and at other times, the family will be at the residence.
