Ruby Mae Hyatt Cothran

Candler – Ruby Mae Hyatt Cothran, 77, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Dan Robinson and Blanche Ray Robinson and the wife of the late Paul Hyatt. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Hoyt Robinson, Donald Robinson, Larry Robinson, Mary Foster, and Gene Robinson.

Ruby was loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Darlene Williamson and husband Bobby, John Paul Hyatt, and Deborah Hyatt Hamlin and husband Keith; grandchildren: Jodey, Amanda, and Caleb; great-grandchildren: Cheyenne, Landon, Trevor, Hayley, and Spanky; three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Green Hills Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Pitts will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
