Ruth Robinson

ASHEVILLE Ruth Emily Bishop Robinson, 94, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late James Benjamin Bishop and Bessie Victoria Robinson Bishop and wife of James Millard Robinson who died in 1974. Surviving are her daughters, Margie May Vardiman Wells & husband Mike of Candler and Sherrie Ruth Wilson of Asheville; son, Lloyd James Vardiman & wife Martha Jane of Asheville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
