Sadie Redmon Davis

Fairview - Sadie Emeline Redmon Davis, 78, of Fleshers Fairview Rest Home, Died Tuesday April 16, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1937. She was a daughter of the late Berry and Matilda Freeman Redmon and the wife of the late Johnny Davis. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Davis of Ft. Mill, S.C.; son, Johnny Davis, Jr. of Ft. Mill, S.C.; sister, Jessie Lewis of Candler; brother, Jobie Redmon of Asheville; 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Dry Pond Cemetery with the Rev. Everette C. Haney officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
