Scott Taylor

Mills River Scott Allan Taylor, 45, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County, Scott had lived in Mills River for the past 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing. He was a good, hard-working, and honest man. His love for nature was superseded only by his love of his family. Scott was a devoted father and husband and will be missed dearly by all those whose lives he has touched. Surviving are his parents, Allan and Joy Roberts Taylor; wife, Heather Maner Taylor; sons: Seth Thomas Taylor and Zachary Allan Taylor; mother-in-law, Patricia Carter and husband Doug; father-in-law, Randy Maner, Sr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Cribbs officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
