Shirley Darlene Stafford

Candler - Shirley Darlene Stafford, 44, of Candler died Saturday, October 19, 2002 following injuries substained in an automobile accident. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was a daughter of Horace Jackson Stafford of Spartanburg, S.C. and the late Betty Hollingsworth. Surviving in addition to her father are her daughter, Stacie Fincher and husband, Dwayne of Candler; son, Travis Higgins of Candler; father of her children, Ronnie Higgins of Candler; grandson, Cameron Fincher of Candler; sister, Diane Johnson and husband, Floyd of Candler; brother, Bruce Dean Stafford of Spartanburg, S.C.; uncle, Tommy Hollingsworth of Candler; four nieces, one great niece and one great nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Banks officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
